Terms of Use

No hotlinking!
Bandwidth theft is not very polite and costs a webmaster time and money. I try to avoid stuff like passwords or anything complicated, but if people don't abide to my rules, I'll probably change my mind. No idea what hotlinking means? Read this.

Credit me
All resources are linkware, so you have to put a link back to my site on your resources page. I don't want explicit credit for each and every single piece you create, just one simple link somewhere is fine. That way it's much easier for your visitors to find the sites from which you got your resources.
If it's just one icon, avatar or signature image for a forum you create with my resources, you don't have to credit me.

Don't steal!
Don't publish my resources elsewhere on the net and claim them as your own work.

Commercial usage
All resources on this site are free for non-profitable usage.
As I'm using image material from sites like Stock.xchng, the copyright for the original photo still belongs to someone else. Because of this just a few of my resources, the ones which are completely made of my own stuff, are also free for commercial use.

Important
Don't use my resources for sites with sexist, racist or any illegal content, no matter if they are commercial or not!

FAQ

Do I have to contact you before I can use your stuff?
If it's a non-commercial site - no. That's what all the downloads are there for. Take them, use them and have fun. But a short note on the tagboard or update page is always welcome.
If your site is commercial, you're only allowed to use some of my goodies (see the Terms of Use). You don't have to contact me either, but I'd really appreciate it.

How do I save image packs as Photoshop brushes?
I've written a little tutorial on how to save image packs and images in general as brushes. You can find it here.

How do I install Photoshop/GIMP brushes?
There's also a tutorial answering this question: click me.

Can I request custom brush sets?
Of course! I can't promise that I'll be able to fulfill your request, but I will try my best. It always depends on the subject and the image material available.

Can I use your stocks/textures to create my own textures?
You can use my stocks as well as the paper scans for basically everything: textures, brushes, collages and of course layouts. The textures (icon and various sizes) are not to be used for anything but icons, collages and layouts.

Why do most brush sets have the prefix HP?
This is a somewhat complicated story. My first website was Bruno's Honeypot (www.brunos-honeypot.net). HP stands for Honey Pot. I moved my brushes to another site by the end of 2005, Ancient Secret (www.ancient-secret.de), but I was too lazy to rename all current sets.
Now only brush sets which have been created since I opened Rain Harbour have the prefix RH, but I've added a little logo to all of them which tells you where they've originally been hosted. Quite confusing, huh?

Can I offer your brushes when I give credit?
No, basically not, unless you have a site that supports brush makers and you want to offer samples of their sets. But you will still need my approval for this.

Any more questions? Feel free to ask me.
